I don't have much spare time so it's important to me that my gym workouts get the best outcome in the shortest time. I have done a lot of research into the more efficient gym routines and have been doing some comparisons on how effectively each routine builds muscle, burns calories and improves my blood pressure. This blog is my way of keeping a track of the different routines I have tried and showing how everybody responds differently to different workout regimes. I hope it will be useful for other people trying to get maximum effect in the minimum time.
The water is nice in Australia and provides a nice environment and opportunity for water sports. If you're looking for a fun date idea that can be completed outdoors, you cannot go wrong with kayaking. It's an easy water sport, and studies have shown that couples that participate in a physical challenge or activity together generally feel more satisfied with their relationship. Here are 3 tips to make sure your kayaking date goes smoothly.
Get a Solo Kayak to Start
Although getting a tandem kayak may seem like a romantic idea at first, the learning curve for kayaking with a tandem kayak is steeper than the learning curve for kayaking with a solo kayak. On top of learning how to kayak properly, both you and your date will also have to learn how to work with one another and compensate for each other's shortcomings. Purchase solo kayaks if both you and your date are just picking up the sport.
Sign Up for a Kayaking Safety Class
While it's fun to go kayaking spontaneously, safety is important. Before heading off to the open waters, consider taking a kayaking safety class to learn how to rescue yourself and others. There are many short kayaking classes that you can sign up for, which will only take an hour or two. These classes will teach you what to do should you capsize and will also emphasize the importance of certain safety gear and equipment. Even if you have already taken a safety class, there's no harm in brushing up on your techniques.
Inform A Family Member or Friend of Your Whereabouts
Just in case an emergency happens, you want your friends and family members to have a good idea where you went. Before heading off on a date, disclose the route you will be choosing and the name of the person you will be kayaking with to a close friend or family member. Try not to divert from your route too much. This way, if no one hears from you after the date, they will know where to send the rescue party and who to look for.
Kayaking can be a very fun date idea – even for beginner kayakers. There are plenty of kayaking hotspots in Australia for you and your date to explore. You can take this time to not only get to know one another, but also enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Visit a kayak vendor like Wetspot Water Sports for more information.Share
